Why This Matters to Your Business
Dispatching your crews isn’t just about assigning jobs—it’s about communicating the right job details to the right team at the right time. The Publish module in Movegistics 5.0 allows you to formally release Work Orders to your field teams via the Crew App. This ensures that nothing goes live until you’re ready—giving your office complete control over job visibility, edits, and timing. ✅📲
Whether you're prepping for tomorrow's jobs or managing last-minute changes, publishing gives you the final word on what your crew sees.

What Does “Publishing” Mean?
Publishing a job makes it visible and accessible to the assigned crew in the Crew App. Until a job is published, it remains in a draft state—even if workers and trucks are already assigned.
🔒 This gives your office time to finalize pricing, add notes, or upload documents before the field team sees the Work Order.

Where to Find the Publish Action
You can publish a job from publish screen:
Publish Module
Click on the job and select “Publish” from the actions menu.
Once published:
The job appears in the Crew App for assigned team members
All attached notes, documents, and checklists become visible
Status updates and time tracking can begin
.
.
📱 What Happens in the Crew App After Publishing?
Once a Work Order is published:
Crews see the job listed under their assigned day
They can:
View job notes and customer info
Complete checklists
Upload photos or signatures
Start and stop time tracking
🧠 Jobs won’t show up for the crew unless they’ve been published—even if assigned.
.
.
Use Cases for Delaying Publication
You may want to wait before publishing if:
Pricing or packing charges are still being reviewed
Inventory or valuation notes need to be finalized
You want to lock in final crew assignments the morning of the move
Movegistics allows full editing of the job before publication, giving your operations team the flexibility they need.
.
.
🔁 Can I Unpublish a Job?
Yes. If you need to make significant changes:
Navigate to the publish screen
Click Unpublish
Make your edits
Re-publish once complete
Unpublished jobs disappear from the Crew App, preventing confusion and reducing miscommunication.
.
.
🔐 Permissions & Control
Admins can restrict publishing access to select roles. This ensures:
Only authorized dispatchers or operations managers can push jobs live
Edits remain in draft mode until approved
📋 Contact your account manager to adjust role-based access if needed.
