Operations Pipeline Overview in Movegistics 5.0
Why This Matters to Your Business
The Operations Pipeline in Movegistics 5.0 brings powerful stage-based tracking to your Work Orders, much like what sales teams have used with the Sales Pipeline. Until now, there was no visual pipeline to track a job's operational lifecycle—but with this upgrade, your dispatch and ops team can:
- ✅ Monitor every stage of a move—from booking to job closeout
- ⚖️ Identify delays or bottlenecks before they turn into customer issues
- 🔄 Automate status progression based on actions (like dispatch or confirmation)
- ✉️ Improve team communication and accountability
In short: it helps your team stay on the same page and makes sure every job is moving forward smoothly.

Where to Find It
Navigate to the Operations module on the left-side menu and click on Pipeline. This screen shows all your active Work Orders in a horizontal board view organized by pipeline stages.
.
.
Understanding the Pipeline Stages
Once a Work Order is created, it enters the Booked stage by default. From there, it progresses through the pipeline automatically or manually:
Automatic Stage Progression
Movegistics will move jobs to the next stage based on the following triggers:
- Booked — Default stage when Work Order is created
- Truck Assigned — Triggers when a truck is added in Dispatch
- Pre-Customer Confirm — Triggers when customer confirmation is entered
- Dispatched — Triggers when job is published to the Crew App
- Final Confirmed — Manual step to confirm all resources
- Execution — Automatically updates once the Crew App job is started
- Closeout — Final stage when job is completed in the Crew App
.
.
Pipeline Visibility on Work Orders
Each Work Order now shows its current pipeline stage directly on the job screen. This provides a quick snapshot of where that job stands and helps all departments stay aligned.
.
.
Custom Pipelines & Multi-Team Usage
Just like the Sales Pipeline, the Operations Pipeline supports custom workflows. You can:
- Create multiple pipelines for different teams (e.g. Dispatch, Billing, Customer Feedback, Claims)
- Customize stages per pipeline (example: "Packing Scheduled" or "Awaiting Materials")
- View or edit pipeline settings by going to Settings > Sales > Pipelines
⚠️ Note: The Sales Pipeline stages are system-protected and cannot be deleted, but custom operational pipelines are fully editable.
.
.
Tips for Maximum Impact 📈
- Use tags + pipelines together to improve visibility across departments
- Train your team to monitor the Execution and Closeout stages daily for better job status tracking
- Set up internal workflows (e.g., send alerts when a job is stuck in "Pre-Customer Confirm" for 2+ days)
