By default, users with dispatch or admin permissions can edit or delete work orders from the Job Schedule.
🔒 If you’re unable to make changes, check with your account administrator. Role-based permissions can be applied to restrict access to calendar edits.

Step-by-Step: Editing a Job from the Calendar
-
Go to: Operations > Job Schedule
-
Click on a job card within the calendar
- In the job preview that appears, click the pencil icon ✏️ in the top-right corner
- The Edit Work Order screen will open
From here, you can change:

- Assigned workers, vehicles, or contractors
- Job type, service type, and activity

Step-by-Step: Deleting or Canceling a Job
To Cancel a Job (Recommended)
- Click on the job card
- Click the WO followed by the WO number. Ex. WO005729
- Set the WO Status to
Cancelled - Click Yes, Confirm to confirm the change.
🚫 This removes the job from:
- The crew app (so crews no longer see or clock into it)
- The Job Schedule calendar
- The Operations pipeline view
To Permanently Delete (Use With Caution)
- Click the trash icon 🗑️ from the job preview window
- Confirm the deletion prompt
⚠️ Only delete if the move was created by mistake.
Canceling is a safer option and keeps your historical records intact.
To delete a published WO you must first un-publish it.

Tips for Best Practices ✨
- Review the job carefully before deleting—when in doubt, cancel instead
- Train your team on the difference between a Work Order and a Work Request
- Use the Work Orders module for full edit access, especially for batch changes
- Use tags for added filtering and visibility later
