Job Schedule vs. Events Calendar: What's the Difference?
Why This Matters to Your Business đź§
It’s easy to confuse the Job Schedule with the Events Calendar—after all, they both look like calendars. But understanding how each one works (and when to use them) is key to avoiding missed tasks and managing your team's time effectively.
Each serves a unique role in keeping your operations coordinated—from scheduled jobs to internal appointments, crew meetings, and surveys.

Overview of the Job Schedule 📦
The Job Schedule is your operations command center. It shows all Work Orders and Trips currently scheduled—color-coded and fully interactive.
You’ll typically use this view to:
- Assign and monitor moves and pack jobs
- View job duration and team assignments
- Click into job cards to review or edit work orders
- Manage dispatch readiness
Where to Find It:
- Navigate to Operations > Job Schedule
📌 This is where your dispatchers and ops managers live day-to-day.

Overview of the Events Calendar đź“…
The Events Calendar, by contrast, is part of the Sales module and tracks non-job events such as:
- On-site surveys
- Office appointments
- Crew meetings or reminders
- Callback tasks or sales follow-ups
These events are not tied to a job being scheduled and do not appear on the Job Schedule.
Where to Find It:
- Navigate to Events at the bottom of the left-side main menu
🗓️ Think of the Events Calendar as your CRM's personal planner.

Common Mistake: Scheduling Surveys in the Wrong Calendar
If you schedule a survey on the Job Schedule instead of the Events Calendar, it won’t trigger the same follow-up or availability workflows.
âś… Use Sales > Events to schedule and assign surveys.
âś… Use Operations > Job Schedule only for actual job execution.
.
.
Best Practices âś…
- Use Events Calendar for all survey appointments, internal meetings, and office tasks
- Use Job Schedule for actual jobs, pack & load events, and crew assignments
- Train your team on the visual differences and calendar labels
- Use tags and color rules to distinguish job types clearly
