Navigating to Survey Settings

Click on the gear icon at the top-right corner of your Movegistics dashboard.

In the left sidebar, expand the Sales section.

Click on Surveys to access the Survey Settings module.

1. Rooms Tab 🏡
This tab manages the list of rooms that appear in the Movegistics Survey App.
How to Add a Room:

Click the blue plus (+) button.
-
Enter a Room Name (e.g., Bedroom, Garage).
-
Choose a Service Type (e.g., Local, Interstate).
-
Click Save.
Additional Options:
-
Activation Toggle: Turn rooms on/off to control their visibility.

Assigning Service Types lets you customize room lists for different move types.

2. Categories Tab 🏋️
Categories allow you to group survey items logically (e.g., Electronics, Furniture).
How to Add a Category:

Click the blue plus (+) button.
-
Enter a Category Name (e.g., Tools, Plants).

Click Add.
Additional Options:

Categories are searchable.

Use the Active toggle to manage visibility within the app.

3. Items Tab 🌍
This is where you configure all inventory items that appear during a survey.
How to Add an Item:

Click the blue plus (+) button.
-
Fill in the following fields:

Item Name
-
Volume (cu ft) and Weight (lbs)

Optional: Upload an Image

Enable Carton toggle if the item is a box

Assign the item to one or more Rooms, Categories, or apply Special Fees

Click Save.
Resource Mapping (Step 2):
Define what Packing Materials, Tools, and Equipment are needed per item. This feeds directly into operational planning and loadout accuracy.

4. Default Settings Tab ⚖️
Configure your company's maximum mileage radius to distinguish between local and intrastate moves.
Setting the Radius:

Navigate to the Default Settings tab.

Enter the maximum number of miles (e.g., 50).
-
Click Update.
This setting tells the system when to automatically convert a move from "Local" to "Intrastate" based on distance.

5. Move Size Tab 📈
Define default cubic feet and weight values based on move size or number of bedrooms.
Configuration Options:

Enter volume and weight values for:

Studio

1 Bedroom

2 Bedroom

And so on...

These values are used for Speed Estimating to preload jobs with standard volume/weight.
