Step 1: How to Set Up Texting
If your organization has not yet activated texting capabilities:

Email support@netensity.com requesting SMS/Texting activation.

The Netensity team will provision a dedicated local phone number using your area code.

Provide your business details (including Tax ID) for carrier approval.

Approval may take up to 7 business days.
Once complete, texting features will be available in your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the Texting Dashboard
To access the texting module:

Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.

Navigate to Settings > Conversations > SMS/Texting.
Here you’ll be able to:

View total messages used and pending
-
Track phone number usage by location

Add new phone numbers
Adding a Phone Number

Go to the Phone Numbers tab.

Click the blue + (plus) icon.

Search and filter by:

Number begins with

Number contains

Number ends with

Select the number you want and click Add.

Text templates are reusable message formats used in automation and manual texting.

Go to Settings > Conversations > Templates > Text Templates.

Folder Name (for grouping templates)

Title (e.g., "Payment Confirmation")

Module: Choose the relevant section (e.g., Payments, Work Request)

Body: Write your message using merge fields like:

Rule Name

From: Choose a specific user or role (e.g., "Work Request Owner")

Select Template & Trigger:

Template: Choose the text template you created

Optional Filters:

Set a Delay:

Go to Work Requests and open a test request.

Add a payment (e.g., $1 with Payment Mode: Other).

Submit the payment.
Verify the Automation:

Check the Activity Log for confirmation.

Navigate to Conversations > Texting to confirm message was sent.

Return to Settings > Automations to confirm Occurrences count has increased.
