In Movegistics 5.0, the Contractor Settings under Resources provide you with all the tools you need to organize contractor details, monitor their availability, and standardize onboarding across projects. A clean, organized contractor database helps reduce payroll issues, boosts scheduling accuracy, and simplifies subcontractor management.

🔍 How to Access Contractor Settings

Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of Movegistics.

From the left-hand Settings menu, navigate to Resources > Contractors.
This will bring you to the Contractors grid, where you can:

View all contractors and their key details

Filter by company or contractor type

Add new contractor profiles

Track availability

➕ Adding a New Contractor
To add a contractor:

Click the blue plus (+) icon in the top-left.

Fill in the following fields:

Contractor Number
-
First & Last Name
-
SSN
-
Phone Number & Alternative Phone

Email & Alternative Email
-
Address and Emergency Contact Info
-
Hire and Termination Dates
-
Pay Rate & Pay Rate Type

Target Hours
-
Company Name
-
Contractor Type

Tags and Internal Notes

Assign Ownership (admin user managing this record).

Toggle the Active switch to activate/deactivate the contractor profile.

Click Save or Save & Add Another.

👁️ Creating a Custom View for Contractors
Custom views help you filter and focus on specific contractor segments, like subcontractors from a particular company or those with specific availability.
To Create a View:

From the Contractors tab, click Create a View.

On the right-hand panel, select the columns you'd like displayed:

Contractor Number

Company
-
Contractor Type
-
Tags, Hire Date, Pay Rate, etc.

Use the Column Order panel to arrange columns to your preference.

Click Next
- Use the Apply Filters tool if you want to narrow your view (e.g., show only Active workers or only those in a specific department)
- Name your view (e.g., "Active Drivers – East Team")
- Choose whether to make it private or share it with your team
- Click Save
You’ll now see this view as a tab at the top of the contractor page, making it easy to switch between filtered contractor lists.

📅 Resource & Recurring Availability
Movegistics allows you to track which contractors are available on any given day and set weekly recurring schedules.
Resource Availability
This shows a calendar-style view to see contractor availability at a glance.

Go to Resources > Contractors.

Click Resource Availability.

The calendar displays each day’s active contractors.

Use the right-side toggle panel to mark contractors as Available/Not Available.
📘 Pro Tip: Click on any date to get a breakdown by contractor.

Recurring Availability
Recurring availability allows you to define a consistent weekly schedule for each contractor.

Go to Resources > Contractors.

Click Recurring Availability.

You’ll see:

Each contractor’s name

A grid of weekdays (Sun to Sat)

Checkboxes for each day

Use this view to:

Set standard schedules for regular subcontractors

Manage rotating labor pools
